On September 3, 2020 at 8:45 p.m., Oelwein Officers responded to a disturbance reported in the 200 block of North Frederick. Officers arrested Connor Douglas Palo, age 27 of Oelwein on a charge of Domestic Abuse Assault, Simple Misdemeanor.
On September 2, 2020 at 11:25 P.M., Oelwein Police arrested Shannon Allen Hersh, 47, of Tama. Hersh was arrested and charged with Assault-Serious Misdemeanor, Assault-Simple Misdemeanor, Disorderly Conduct-Simple Misdemeanor and Criminal Mischief-Simple Misdemeanor. This arrest followed and incident in the 100 block 2nd AV SE.
On August 27, 2020 at 4:17 p.m., Oelwein Police arrested Kenyonte Shinhault, 31, of Oelwein. Shinhault was arrested on a Fayette County Warrant on an original charge of unauthorized use of a credit credit card. This arrest occured 800-blk of N Frederick Av.
On August 27, 2020 at 6:47 A.M., Oelwein Officers were called to the 10 block 5th AV NE for a report of a Theft. This incident remains under investigation
On August 24, 2020 at 3:50 p.m., Oelwein Officers responded to the 800 block of North Frederick for a reported disturbance. Officers arrested Kenyonte Nigel Shinault, age 31 of Oelwein on charges of Assault, Interference With Official Acts, and Obstruction of Emergency Communications-all Simple Misdemeanors.
On August 23, 2020 at 2:37 A.M., Oelwein Police arrested Troy Eugene Parker, 44, of Oelwein. Parker was arrested and charged with OWI 1st –Serious Misdemeanor. This followed a traffic stop in the 2600 block of South Frederick.
On August 22, 2020 at 11:48 P.M., Oelwein Police arrested Cassandra Brackin, 28, of Readlyn. Brackin was arrested on a Fayette County Warrant on an original charge of Disarming a Police officer. This arrest followed officer’s interaction with the subject in the 1900 block of South Frederick.
On August 16, 2020 at 3:10 a.m., Oelwein Officers performed a traffic stop in the 400 block of North Frederick in Oelwein. Officers arrested Anabelle Lynn Boatman, age 20 of Hiawatha for OWI 1st Offense, a Serious Misdemeanor. Officers also arrested Dedric Anthony-Curtis Arnold, age 18 of Cedar Rapids for Domestic Assault and Disorderly Conduct, both Simple Misdemeanors.
At 11:15 p.m. on August 16, 2020 Oelwein Officers arrested David Lee Staake, age 35 of Oelwein, on a Fayette County Sheriff's Office warrant with an original charge of Theft 2nd Degree.
On August 14, 2020 at 8:59 p.m., Oelwein Police arrested Kelli Ann Frank, 31, of Oelwein. Frank was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication. This arrest followed an incident in the 300 block 7th AV SW
On August 12, 2020 at 2:30 p.m., Oelwein Officers arrested Karma Lynn Padgett-Strempke, age 34 of Oelwein on a Fayette County Sheriff's warrant for Assault Causing Injury, a Serious Misdemeanor. Padgett-Strempke was arrested at the Oelwein Police Department on this warrant.
On August 9, 2020 at 7:05 A.M., Oelwein Officers were called to the 10 block 3rd AV SE for a report of a Burglary. This incident remains under investigation
On August 9, 2020 at 10:15 A.M., Oelwein Police arrested Justin James Gallmeyer, 37, of Oelwein. Gallmeyer was arrested and charged with Possession of Firearms by a Felon and Interference with Official Acts. This arrest followed an incident in the 800 block 4th ST SW.
