Oelwein Police investigated a car deer accident near the intersection of 281 and HWY 150 S on November 14, 2020 at 9:17 P.M. A yellow 2012 Ford Focus driven by Joshua Kirby had struck a deer in the roadway.
Oelwein police investigated a motor vehicle accident in the 10 block 2nd ST NW at 3:42 P.M., on November 10, 2020. A red 2013 Chevy Silverado driven by Gary Becker collided with a Maroon 2008 Dodge Charger owned by Kyle Sandhagen.
Oelwein Police investigated a car deer accident in the 1800 block Hwy 150 S at 10:43 P.M., on November 10, 2020 A blue 2017 Chevrolet Silverado driven by David Haack Jackson had struck a deer in the roadway.
Oelwein Police investigated a car deer accident in the 1000 block Hwy 150 S at 5:34 P.M on November 6, 2020. A white 2004 Honda Odyssey driven by Deborah Jackson had struck a deceased deer in the roadway.
On October 31, 2020 at 12:53 A.M., Oelwein Police arrested Nicole Marie Reaves, 29, of Oelwein. Reaves was arrested and charged with Domestic Abuse Assault- Serious Misdemeanor. This arrest followed an incident in the 10 block 6th AV NE.
On October 30, 2020 at 1:57 P.M., Oelwein Police arrested Augustin Gregory Mormann, 31, of Oelwein. Mormann was arrested on a Fayette County Probation Violation Warrant. This arrest took place in the 500 block of Rock Island Road.
On October 28, 2020 at 2:59 Oelwein Police Cited Kaleen Marie Frahm, 26, of Oelwein for No Valid Driver’s License. This came after a traffic accident in the 1000 block of N Frederick.
Oelwein Officers responded to the 900 block of 1st Av SW for a domestic dispute, on October 24, 2020 at 11:45 a.m. Officers arrested Chad Elliott South, age 30 of Denver, Iowa for Domestic Assault, Simple Misdemeanor.
On October 25, 2020 at 2:35 p.m., Officers responded to the 100 block of South Frederick for an attempted assault. Officers arrested Augustin Gregory Mormann, age 31 of Oelwein, in the 400 block of 1st Av SE. Mormann has been charged with Providing False Identifying Information and Interference with Official Acts, both Simple Misdemeanors; Driving While License Barred, Aggravated Misdemeanor; and OWI 3rd Offense, a Class "D" Felony.
On October 22, 2020 at 4:29 p.m., Oelwein Officers performed a traffic stop in the 500 block S Frederick. Officers cited Alexander James Frazer, age 20 of Oelwein on a charge of Driving while License Suspended.
On October 18, 2020 at 10:13 A.M., Oelwein Officers were called to the 400 block 5th AV SE for a report of a Theft. This incident remains under investigation

On October 12, 2020 at 3:05 p.m., Oelwein Officers performed a traffic stop in the area of East Charles and 1st Av SE. Officers arrested Jennifer Ann Schuldt, age 42 of Oelwein on charges of OWI 1st Offense, a Serious Misdemeanor and Child Endangerment, an Aggravated Misdemeanor.
