On June 15, 2020 at 9:56 P.M., Oelwein Police arrested Allyssa Michelle Garrison, 25, of Oelwein. Garrison was arrested on a Fayette County Warrant for 2 counts of Burglary. Garrison was also charged with Burglary 3rd Degree- Class D Felony. This arrest followed an incident in the 100 block 3rd AV NW.
On June 13, 2020 at 1:23 P.M., Oelwein Police Cited Teresa Lynn Forbes, 44, of Oelwein, for Driving while License Suspended. This citation followed a traffic stop in the 300 block of Neon RD.
On June 13, 2020 at 6:18 P.M., Oelwein Officers were called to the 900 block South Frederick for a report of a Theft. This incident remains under investigation
On June 11, 2020 at 1:01 A.M., Oelwein Police arrested Anthony James Taylor, 37, of Oelwein. Taylor was arrested and charged with Driving while Intoxicated- Class D Felony, Driving while License Revoked- Serious Misdemeanor and Domestic Abuse Assault- Simple Misdemeanor. This arrest followed an incident in the 100 block 12th AV NW.
On June 8, 2020 at 4:40 p.m., Oelwein Officers responded to the 500 block of 5th Avenue NE for a reported disturbance. Officers arrested Jessica Ann Marie Buhr, age 28 of Oelwein, on a Fayette County Sheriff's Warrant for Assault on Persons of a Certain Occupation and Interference With Official Acts.
On May 30, 2020 at 1:43 P.M., Oelwein Police Cited Johnny Christine Schwarting, 24, of Independence, for Driving while License Suspended. This citation followed a traffic stop in the 10 block 2nd ST SE.
On May 27, 2020 at 2:23 P.M., Oelwein Police cited and released Roger Gene Kitchen, 60, of Oelwein. Kitchen was cited for Disorderly Conduct-Simple Misdemeanor. This citation was issued following an incident in the 200 block 1st AV SE.
On May 27 at 8:29 P.M., Oelwein Officers were called to the 400 block South Frederick for a report of Criminal Mischief. This incident remains under investigation
On May 24, 2020 at 8:10 p.m., the Oelwein Police Department received a driving complaint report. Oelwein Officers performed a traffic stop with the vehicle at 20th Street on Hwy 150 S. Officers arrested Trisha Ann Hanks, age 33 of Independence, on a charge of OWI 1st Offense. Hanks was also cited for Speeding, Fail to Have Insurance, and Driving the Wrong Way on a Two Way Road.
On May 22, 2020 at 6:27 P.M., Oelwein Police arrested Christopher John Henderson, 36, of Oelwein. Henderson was arrested and charged with Domestic Abuse Assault- Aggravated Misdemeanor. This arrest followed an incident in the 10 block 6th AV NE.
On May 21 at 7:50 P.M., Oelwein Officers were called to the 700 block South Frederick for a report of Burglary. This incident remains under investigation
