On December 12, 2020 at 5:39 P.M., Oelwein Officers were called to the 200 block 3^rd AV SE for a report of Criminal Mischief.  This incident remains under investigation

On December 10, 2020 at 12:27 A.M., Oelwein Police arrested Terry James Witte, 38,  of Oelwein,  Witte was arrested and charged with Domestic Abuse Assault-Simple Misdemeanor.  This arrest followed an incident in the 100 block W Charles.

Oelwein police investigated a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of 4^th AV and 5^th ST SE at 7:10 A.M., on December 9, 2020.   A silver 2001 Ford Expedition driven by Shawn Rocha collided with a black 2020 Subaru Ascent driven by Justin McGuinness .  McGuinness was cited for failure to yield at an uncontrolled intersection and Rocha was cited for no insurance.

On December 9, 2020 at 2:13 P.M., Oelwein Officers were called to the 10 S Frederick for a report of a Theft.  This incident remains under investigation

On December 9, 2020 at 3:03 P.M., Oelwein Officers were called to the 10 block 1^st AV SE for a report of Hit and Run Accident.  A silver Impala driven by Jillian Barker was struck by an unknown vehicle.  This incident remains under investigation

On December 4, 2020 at 8:29 A.M., Oelwein Officers were called to the 200 West Charles for a report of a Burglary.  This incident remains under investigation

On December 4, 2020 at 6:03 P.M., Oelwein Officers were called to the 100 block 1^st AV SE for a report of a Theft.  This incident remains under investigation

On December 3, 2020 at 9:49 A.M., Oelwein Officers were called to the 400 block 13^th AV NW for a report of Burglary.  This incident remains under investigation

 On December 3, 2020 at 12:52 P.M., Oelwein Officers were called to the 100 block 7^th ST SW for a report of Burglary.  This incident remains under investigation

On November 30, 2020 at 5:37 A.M., Oelwein Police arrested Victor Leonel Bustillos Jr, 20 of Waterloo.  Biccor was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication following an incident in the 100 block 1^st AV SE.

On November 29, 2020 at 3:19 P.M., Oelwein Officers were called to the 10 block 6^th ST NW for a report of Hit and Run Accident.  A white Impala driven by Brittany Bartels was struck by an unknown vehicle.  This incident remains under investigation

The Oelwein Police Department has partnered with the Oelwein High School to keep student athletes healthy. The Oelwein Police Department has donated Husky water bottles that will be provided to each winter sport athlete this season. The purpose of the individual water bottles is to allow each student athlete to have a safe way to hydrate during practices and games, while at the same time attempting to prevent the spread of Covid-19. "During these unusual times, we have to work together to try to maintain a sense of normalcy while preventing the spread of the virus" stated Chief Jeremy Logan.

On November 8, 2020 at 2:53 P.M., Oelwein Officers were called to the 700 block 2^nd ST NW for a report of Theft.  This incident remains under investigation
