Oelwein Police investigated a motor vehicle accident at 1st Ave and 7th St SE at 5:01 p.m. on April 8th, 2023. A Chrysler van driven by Tara Scott collided with a Chrysler van driven by Lloyd Brown. Initial estimates of damage were $1500 to the van driven by Scott and $2000 to the vehicle driven by Brown. 

At 8:41 p.m. on April 12th, 2023, Oelwein Police arrested Randall Wade Cantrell, 55, of Oelwein. Cantrell was arrested in the 2600 block of South Frederick Ave on a Buchanan County warrant for Failure to Appear on an original charge of Driving While License Suspended. 

At 2:37 a.m. on April 8th, 2023, Oelwein Police arrested Joshua James Downing-Shay, 32, of Iowa City. Downing-Shay was arrested on a charge of Driving While License Suspended.

At 4:18 p.m. on April 11th, 2023, Oelwein Police arrested Stephen David Keal, 38, of Oelwein. Keal was arrested in the 700 block of 1st Ave SE on Fayette County warrants for original charges of Malicious Prosecution (serous misdemeanor), False Report to Public Entity (simple misdemeanor), Harassment 3rd degree (simple misdemeanor), and Child Abuse - False Reports (simple misdemeanor).

At 7:54 p.m. on April 11th, 2023, Oelwein Police arrested Carla Dionne Collins 42, of Oelwein. Collins was arrested on charges of Public Intoxication (simple misdemeanor) and Disorderly Conduct - loud noise (simple misdemeanor). This arrest was made after a disturbance was reported in the area of 1st St and 6th Ave NE.

At 4:47 p.m. on April 7th, 2023, Oelwein Police arrested Skylar Joseph Buhr, 33, of Oelwein. Buhr was arrested on a charge of Violation of No Contact Order - simple misdemeanor. This arrest was made following a traffic stop at 2nd St SW and South Frederick Ave. 

At 1:13 p.m. on May 6th, 2023, Oelwein Police arrested Joshua Wayne O'Neil, 46, of Oelwein. O'Neil was arrested on a charge of Interference with Official Acts - simple misdemeanor. This was made following a report of a disturbance in the 10 block of West Charles.

At 7:17 p.m. on April 1st, 2023, Oelwein Police arrested Briana Lynn Dow, 38, of Oelwein. Dow was arrested in the 100 block of South Frederick Ave on a Buchanan County warrant for Violation of Probation.

At 7:54 p.m. on April 1st, 2023, Oelwein Police arrested Tanya Jo Broten, 33, of Oelwein. Broten was arrested on a charge of Driving While License Suspended. This arrest was made following a traffic stop in the 800 block of South Frederick Ave. 

At 8:41 p.m. on March 29th, 2023, Oelwein Police arrested Pamela Jean Haun, 65, of Oelwein. Haun was arrested in the 400 block of 1st Ave SE on a Fayette County warrant for an original charge of Violation of No Contact Order.

At 6:08 p.m. on March 28th, 2023, Oelwein Police arrested Jared Michael Richardson, 28, of Oelwein. Richardson was arrested in the 800 block of 1st Ave SE on a Fayette County warrant for Violation of Probation.

At 10:15 p.m. on March 24th, 2023, Oelwein Police arrested Jolene Mardell Cain, 42, of Oelwein. Cain was arrested on charges of OWI (1st offense) - serious misdemeanor, and Driving While License Suspended. This arrest was made following a traffic stop in the 700 block of South Frederick Ave. 

At 11:58 p.m. on March 24th, 2023, Oelwein Police arrested Skylar Joseph Buhr, 33, of Oelwein, Buhr was arrested on a charge of Violation of No Contact Order - simple misdemeanor. This arrest was made in the 200 block of 2nd Ave SE.

At 4:38 a.m. on March 25th, 2023, Oelwein Police arrested Elizabeth Ranae Nichols, 33, of Hazleton. Nichols was arrested on a charge of OWI (1st offense) - serious misdemeanor. This arrest was made in the 2200 block of South Frederick Ave following a report of a suspicious vehicle.

At 4:40 a.m. on March 26th, 2023, Oelwein Police arrested Kevin Robert Imbus, 47, of Oelwein. Imbus was arrested on charges of OWI (1st offense) - serious misdemeanor, and Child Endangerment - aggravated misdemeanor. This arrest was made in the 10 block of 5th St NW following a citizens report of suspicious activity. 

At 10:49 p.m. on March 22nd, 2023, Oelwein Police arrested Trenton James Husted, 35, of Oelwein. Husted was arrested in the 100 block of 7th St SW on 2 Fayette County warrants for violation of probation and 1 Buchanan County warrant for forgery.
