April 25,2023

On April 24, 2023, at 8:10 a.m., Oelwein Officers executed a traffic stop in the 300 block of 8th Avenue SE in Oelwein.  The driver of the vehicle, Rose Ann Rodriguez, aged 36 of Oelwein, was arrested for Driving While License Revoked.

 

 

April 25,2023

Oelwein Officers responded to a residence in the 400 block of 1st Avenue SE on April 24, 2023, at 4:45 p.m. to check for a male with a Fayette County Sheriff's Office warrant.  Officers arrested Chaz Franklin Euans, aged 36 of Oelwein on the warrant with original charges of Possession of Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine.

 

April 26,2023

On April 25, 2023 at 11:10 p.m., Oelwein Officers arrested Amanda Marie Steggall age 41 of Oelwein, for a Fayette County warrant with original charges of Failure to Appear for Debtor's Exam.

 

 

April 24th,2023

At 7:44 p.m. on April 21st, 2023, Oelwein Police arrested Adam Thomas MacInnis, 18, of Oelwein. MacInnis was arrested on a charge of Criminal Mischief (3rd degree) - aggravated misdemeanor. This arrest was made after reports of criminal mischief in the Oelwein area.

 

At 10:52 p.m. on April 21st, 2023, Oelwein Police arrested Andrew Richard Johnson Jr., 27, of Oelwein. Johnson was arrested in the 400 block of 2nd Ave NE on a Buchanan County warrant for Violation of Parole.

 

At 1:45 a.m. on April 22nd, 2023, Oelwein Police arrested Troy Christopher Miller, 35, of Oelwein. Miller was arrested in the 100 block of 1st Ave NW on a charge of Possession of Controlled Substance (methamphetamine) - serious misdemeanor. Miller was also cited for Improper Light on a Bicycle and Reflector Requirements. Miller was subsequently arrested on a Buchanan County warrant for Violation of Probation.

April 19,2023

At approximately 9:35 a.m. on Wednesday, April 19th, 2023, the Oelwein Police Department executed
a search warrant in the 700 block of West Charles St. in Oelwein. During the course of the search warrant,
illegal controlled substances were located and seized. The following subjects have been arrested and charged:


1) Esteban Ricardo Carrasco, 42, of Oelwein:
Possession with the intent to deliver Cocaine - C felony
Possession with the intent to deliver Marijuana - D felony
Possession of a controlled substance - Cocaine 3rd or subsequent offense - D felony
Possession of a controlled substance - Morphine 3rd or subsequent offense - D felony
Possession of a controlled substance - Marijuana 3rd or subsequent offense - D felony
Gathering where controlled substances are used - D felony
Possession of drug paraphernalia - Simple Misdemeanor


2) Keith Conway Peebles, 27, of Oelwein:
Gathering where controlled substances are used - D felony
Possession of a controlled substance - Cocaine - Serious Misdemeanor
Possession of a controlled substance - Marijuana - Serious Misdemeanor
Possession of drug paraphernalia - Simple Misdemeanor


Both subjects were taken into custody and transported to the Fayette County Jail pending an initial
appearance. Further charges are pending.


The Oelwein Police Department was assisted by the Iowa State Patrol, the Iowa State Patrol K-9
Unit, the Fayette County Sheriff's Office, the Independence Police Department, and MercyOne
Ambulance.

April 19,2023

At 1:02 a.m. on April 18th, 2023, Oelwein Police arrested Brandy Lynn Schoultz, 37, of Oelwein. Schoultz was arrested on a charge of Driving While License Suspended. This arrest was made following a traffic stop at 1st Ave NE and Lincoln Drive NE.

 

At 1:14 a.m. on April 18th, 2023, Oelwein Police arrested Joshua James Levendusky, 40, of Oelwein. Levendusky was arrested at 1st Ave NE and Lincoln Drive NE on two Fayette County warrants for original charges of Driving While License Barred and Interference with Official Acts.

April 18,2023

At 6:41 p.m. on April 17th, 2023, Oelwein Police arrested Anthony James McNeese, 39, of Oelwein. McNeese was arrested on charges of Reckless Driving, Failure to Obey Stop Sign, Speeding, and Eluding. This arrest was made in the 10 block of 3rd St NW. 

April 17,2023

At approximately 10:09 p.m. on Saturday, April 15th, 2023, the Oelwein Police Department executed a
related search warrant at 333 7th Avenue SW in Oelwein. During the course of the search warrant, illegal
controlled substances were located and seized. The following subjects have been arrested and charged:

 

1) Brad Everett Drewelow, 56, of Oelwein:
Possession with the intent to deliver - D felony
Possession of a controlled substance methamphetamine 3rd or subsequent offense - D felony
Possession of a controlled substance marijuana 3rd or subsequent offense - D felony
Gathering where controlled substances are used - D felony
Unlawful possession of a prescription drug - Serious Misdemeanor
Possession of drug paraphernalia - Simple Misdemeanor


2) Gary Roy Wright, 57, of Oelwein:
Possession of a controlled substance methamphetamine 3rd or subsequent offense - D felony
Possession of a controlled substance marijuana 3rd or subsequent offense - D felony


Both subjects were taken into custody and transported to the Fayette County Jail pending an initial
appearance. Further charges are pending.


The Oelwein Police Department was assisted by the Independence Police Department K-9 Unit and
officers from the Independence Police Department.

April 17,2023

At 9:10 p.m. on April 14th, 2023, Oelwein Police arrested Lakesha D Hicks, 39, of Oelwein. Hicks was arrested on charges of Criminal Mischief (5th degree) - simple misdemeanor, and Disorderly Conduct (loud noise) - simple misdemeanor. This arrest was made after a report of a disturbance in the 200 block of 8th Ave SE.

 

At 3:43 a.m. on April 16th, 2023, Oelwein Police arrested Chelsea Leann Rasmussen, 29, of Oelwein. Rasmussen was arrested on charges of Criminal Mischief (5th degree) - simple misdemeanor, and Public Intoxication - simple misdemeanor. This arrest was made following a report of a disturbance in the 500 block of 2nd Ave NE. 

April 14,2023

Oelwein Police investigated a motor vehicle accident at 1st Ave and 7th St SE at 5:01 p.m. on April 8th, 2023. A Chrysler van driven by Tara Scott collided with a Chrysler van driven by Lloyd Brown. Initial estimates of damage were $1500 to the van driven by Scott and $2000 to the vehicle driven by Brown.
