On August 25^nd 2018 at 11:31 a.m., Officers took a report of a Theft in the 10 block of 5^th AV SE.  A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation.

The Oelwein Police Department took a report of a one vehicle, personal injury accident in the 1300 block of 2^nd ST SE.  On August 22, 2018 at 07:19 a.m., a vehicle was reported to have struck an individual at that location.  Officers cited Robbie Nathaniel McKeeman, age 19 of Oelwein for Failure to Yield to a Pedestrian.

On August 22^nd 2018 at 12:15 p.m., Officers took a report of a Theft in the 100 block of 1^st AV NW.  A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation

On August 22^nd 2018 at 12:15 p.m., Officers took a report of a Criminal Mischief in the 100 block of 2^nd AV NW.  A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation.

On August 18, 2018 at 7:00 p.m., Oelwein Police took a report of a theft from a vehicle in the 900 block of South Frederick.  On August 20, 2018 at 2:50 p.m., after investigating the incident, arrested Zachary Allen Smith, age 33, of Oelwein on charges of Burglary 3rd Degree, a Class "D" Felony and Domestic Assault, a Simple Misdemeanor.

On August 17th, 2018 at 8:00 a.m., the Oelwein Police Department took a report of a theft from a building in the 10 block of 4th St. SW.  After conducting an investigation, Zachary Allen Smith, age 33 of Oelwein, was arrested on August 18, 2018 at 4:45 p.m. and charged with Theft 4th Degree, a Serious Misdemeanor.

On August 19, 2018 at 5:15 p.m., Oelwein Officers attempted to stop a vehicle in the area of 10th St and Highway 150 South.  The vehicle attempted to elude officers and with the assistance of the Buchanan County and Fayette County Sheriff's Offices, the vehicle was stopped in the 1400 block of N Avenue.  Officers arrested Shaina Marie Boehmer, age 31 years old, of Cedar Falls for Interference with Official Acts, a Simple Misdemeanor.  Further charges on this incident are pending.

The Oelwein Police Department took a report of a one vehicle, personal injury accident in the 300 block of West Charles.  On August 19, 2018 at 11:10 p.m., a vehicle was reported to have struck the east bound side of the West Charles Viaduct.  Officers cited Ronald Craig Dean, age 41 of Oelwein for Failure to Maintain Control of his vehicle and for No Insurance.

On August 17^th 2018 at 8:17 a.m., Officers took a report of a Theft in the 10 block of 4^th ST SW.  A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation.

On August 17^th 2018 at 1:19 p.m., Officers took a report of a Theft in the 700 block of South Frederick.  A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation.

On August 17^th, 2018 at 4:40 p.m., Oelwein Police arrested Linda Sue Donelson, 67, of Oelwein.  Donelson was charged with Theft 5^th Degree-Simple Misdemeanor. This arrest followed and incident in the 100 block of S Frederick Avenue.

On August 17, 2018 at 8:02 p.m. Oelwein Officers cited Jesse Steven Moore, age 43 of Oelwein for Failure to Abate Property as Ordered for property in the 300 block of 4^th AV SE.  This incident stemmed from a report taken on May 30, 2018.

On August 16^th 2018 at 12:48 p.m., Officers took a report of a Theft in the 10 block of 5^th South Frederick.  A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation.

On August 15, 2018 Oelwein Officers cited Danielle Darlene Kleppe, age 23 of Oelwein for Failure to Abate Property as Ordered for property in the 500 block of 4^th AV SE.  This incident stemmed from a report taken on May 31, 2018.

On August 15^th 2018 at 9:44 p.m., Officers took a report of a Theft in the 10 block of 5^th ST NW.  A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation.

On August 13, 2018 at 7:10 p.m., Oelwein Officers arrested Christopher Allan Manning, age 31 of Oelwein on charges from two Dubuque County warrants with original charges of Theft 4th Degree and a Probation Violation on a Theft 3rd Degree charge.

On August 12, 2018 at 1:28 a.m., Oelwein Police performed a traffic stop in the 100 block 1^st AV NW.  Officers cited and released Whitney Jo Sumner, age 29 of Oelwein on the charge of Driving while License Suspended.

On August 12, 2018 at 2:11 a.m., Oelwein Police arrested Matthew David Rozinek, 30 of Oelwein.  Rozineck was arrested and charged with Burglary 3^rd –Aggravated Misdemeanor and Assault causing Bodily Harm Serious Misdemeanor.  This arrest followed and incident in the 100 block 5^th ST NW.

On August 12, 2018 at 8:04 p.m., Oelwein Police arrested Kashell Elexis Allison, 23, of Oelwein.  Allison was arrested on a Black Hawk County Warrant for Voluntary Absence on an original charge of Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver as well as Possession of Methamphetamine.  This arrest came after a call in the 800 block 5^th ST SE

On August 11, 2018 at 3:16 p.m., Oelwein Officers were called to the intersection of 2^nd ST NW and North Frederick Avenue for a reported two vehicle, property damage accident.  Mardella Lou Deaton, age 82 of Waterloo, was cited for Improper use of lanes.

On August 11^th 2018 at 11:25 p.m., Officers took a report of a Theft in the 10 block of 5^th AV SE.  A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation.
