August 15, 2019
On August 15, 2019 at 8:20 p.m., Oelwein Police arrested Kimberly Marie Schoultz, 50, of Oelwein. Schoultz was charged with Domestic Abuse Assault-Simple Misdemeanor. This arrest resulted from an incident in the 100 block 2nd AV NW.
August 13,2019
On August 12, 2019 at 6:50 p.m., Oelwein Officers responded to an altercation in the First block of 8th Street SE. Officers arrested Laquay Maurice Taylor, age 28 of Oelwein for Assault Causing Injury, a Serious Misdemeanor. Taylor was also served an arrest warrant from Dubuque County for Failure to Appear for Probation on an original charge of Domestic Assault.
Oelwien Officers arrested Amber Charmaine Criqui, age 30 of Oelwein on August 14, 2019 at 3:35 a.m. Criqui was served with a Fayette County Sheriff's warrant for an original charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine, a Class "D" Felony.

On August 12, 2019 at 3:38 a.m., Oelwein Police Officers responded to 100 block 3rd AV NW for a reported Burglary. This incident remains under investigation.
August 10, 2019
On August 10, 2019 Oelwein Officers cited Trisha Lynn Billingsley, age 42 of Oelwein, for Failure to Abate As Ordered, a property in the 600 block of 1st Avenue NE. This citation stemmed from abatement served in July 2019.

On August 7, 2019 at 4:06 a.m., Oelwein Police Officers responded to 10 block 5th AV SE for a reported Criminal Mischief. This incident remains under investigation.

August 6, 2019
On August 6, 2019 at 10:28 p.m., Oelwein Police arrested Bryce Jarod Kugel, 28, of Oelwein. Kugel was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication-Simple Misdemeanor. This arrest followed an incident in the 100 block 13th AV SE.

On August 5, 2019 at 12:20 a.m., Oelwein Police responded to a disturbance in the 200 block of 2nd Avenue SE. Officers arrested Atonio James Cleveland Oaks, age 28 of Oelwein for Disorderly Conduct and Criminal Mischief 5th Degree, both Simple Misdemeanors.

On August 2, 2019 at 5:53 p.m., Oelwein Police arrested Christopher Lee Becker, 36, of Oelwein. Becker was arrested and charged with Domestic Abuse Assault- Aggravated Misdemeanor. This arrest followed and incident in the 300 block 8th AV NE.
On August 2, 2019 at 8:06 p.m., Oelwein Police arrested Christopher Lee Bormann, 37, of Oelwein. Bormann was arrested on a Fayette County Warrant on an original charge of Disorderly Conduct. This arrested followed the subject turning himself in at the Oelwein Police Department.

At 8:51 p.m., on August 1st, 2019 ., Oelwein Police Officers responded to the 100 block 8th AV NW on a report of shot fired. After an investigation officers arrested Ross Ian River Cashen 39, of Oelwein. Cashen was charged with Attempted Murder- Class B Felony. The investigation into this incident is ongoing at this time.
