October 31, 2018

On October 230h, 2018 at 7:22 a.m., Officers took a report of  Criminal Mischief in the 600 block of 4th AV SW.  A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation.

On October 30, 2018 at 9:01 p.m. Oelwein Officers cited David Duane Latham, age 61 of Oelwein for Failure to Abate Property as Ordered for property in the 600 block of 1st ST NE.  This incident stemmed from a report taken on September 18, 2018.

October 29,2018

On October 29, 2018 at 11:00 p.m., in the 100 block of 4th Avenue NE, Oelwein Officers arrested Shawna Lee Warnke, age 39 of Oelwein on a Fayette County Sheriff's Office Warrant for Disorderly Conduct.

October 28,2018

On October 28, 2018 at 11:00 p.m. Oelwein Officers responded to a report of a disturbance in the 1 block of 6th Street NE.  Officers arrested Dustin Scott Deans, age 22 of Powhatten, Virginia on a charge of Criminal Mischief 4th Degree.

October 24, 2018

On October 24, 2018 at 9:51 a.m., Oelwein Police arrested Steven Louis Hovey, age 61 of Fairbank.  Hovey was arrested and charged with Theft 5th Degree- Simple Misdemeanor.  This arrest followed and incident in the 100 block of 2nd ST SE.

October 27, 2018

On October 27th, 2018 at 4:30 a.m., Officers took a report of a Burglary in the 10 block of 4th ST NW.  A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation.

October 26. 2018

On October 26 2018 at 5:46 a.m., Officers took a report of a Theft in the 100 block of 1st AV SE.  A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation.

On October 26th 2018 at 4:11 p.m., Officers took a report of a Theft in the 800 block of 1st AV SW.  A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation.

 On October 26th 2018 at 4:11 p.m., Officers took a report of a Theft in the 200 block of 8th AV SE.  A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation.

On October 26, 2018at 5:39 p.m. Oelwein Officers cited Sandra  Joan Halstead, age 50 of Oelwein for Failure to Abate Property as Ordered for property in the 900  block of 1st AV NE.  This incident stemmed from a report taken on October 18th 2018.

October 23,2018

On October 23, 2018 at 11:00 p.m., Oelwein Officers arrested Andrew James Nagel, age 20 of Oelwein for a Fayette County Sheriff's warrant for Theft 5th Degree.  This was an Oelwein Police Department original charge stemming from a theft incident on October 21, 2018 in the 100 block of 1st Avenue NE in Oelwein.

 

Oelwein Officers arrested Joshua Lee Alitz, age 40 of Oelwein on October 23, 2018 at 10:30 p.m.  Alitz was arrested on a Fayette County Sheriff's Office warrant with original charges of three counts of Controlled Substance Violations.

October 21, 2018

On October 21st, 2018 at 2:22 a.m., Officers took a report of a Theft in the 100 block of 1st AV SE.  A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation.

On October 21st, 2018 at 5:32 a.m., Officers took a report of a Burglary in the 300 block of North Frederick.  A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation.

On October 21st, 2018 at 11:18 a.m., Officers took a report of a Criminal Mischief in the 400 block of South Frederick.  A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation.

On October 21st, 2018 at 10:58 p.m., Oelwein Officers performed a traffic stop in the 100 block of 1st AV SE.  Officers cited and released Jonathan Eichelberger, age 23 of Hawkeye, for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a Juvenile female was also referred to Juvenile Court Services on the same Charge.

October 19, 2018

At 7:39 a.m., on October 19, 2018 a stolen vehicle report was called into the Oelwein Police Department.  A white 2002 Mercury Sable was reported stolen from the 100 block of 8th AV NW. The vehicle was located later in the morning and returned to the owner.

October 17,2018

On October 17, 2018 at 2:00 p.m., Oelwein Officers responded to a reported break in of a residence in the 10 block of 5th Avenue NE in Oelwein.  Officers arrested Seth Lee Rohrick, age 22 of Oelwein, on charges of Interference With Official Acts, Simple Misdemeanor;  Enhanced Public Intoxication 2nd Offense, Serious Misdemeanor; and Burglary 3rd Degree, a Class "D" Felony.
