February 25, 2015

At 12:35 p.m., on February 24, 2015 Oelwein Officers were called to the intersection of 7th St SE and Highway 150 for a Personal Injury accident. Vehicle #1, a Silver 2014 Ford Focus driven by David Richard Hansen, age 60 of Masonville, failed to stop at a northbound stop light at the intersection and struck westbound vehicle #2, a white 2004 Buick LeSabre driven by Delores Schuler, age 83 of Oelwein. Hansen was cited for Failure to Obey Traffic Control Device. The Oelwein police were assisted by the Oelwein Fire Department and Mercy Oelwein Ambulance.

On February 24, 2015 at 11:55 p.m., Oelwein Officers performed a traffic stop in the 400 block of 1st Avenue NE in Oelwein. Oelwein Officers cited and released Arturo Araujo, age 22 of Postville on a charge of Driving While License Suspended.
