Arresting Hunger Food Drive 2014

2014 Food Drive Graphic

The Arresting Hunger Food Drive 2014 is scheduled for Saturday, November 22, 2014 from 9AM to 3PM at Fareway (102 2nd St SE) in Oelwein. This is the third year of the event and over 2000 food and hygiene items have been donated and distributed locally. The goal is to see how many times we can “fill the squad car”. During the event an Oelwein Police Department Squad Car will be available for touring and photos! The Holiday Season is a tough time as local food bank supplies, typically, run low. The goal of this program is to provide as many items as possible to the Oelwein Community Kitchen Cupboard Food Pantry, so they can lend a helping hand to those in need during the Holiday Season.
