On August 20, 2013 at 1:25 a.m., Oelwein Officers encountered a suspicious male while on patrol in the area of 10th Street and 6th Avenue SW in Oelwein. Officers stopped to identify the male and after observation and testing of a product in the male’s possession, officers arrested Seth Allen McLane, age 19 of Oelwein on charges of two counts of Conspiracy to Manufacture more than 5 grams of Methamphetamine, Class B Felonies and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a Simple Misdemeanor. The contents of containers in McLane’s possession was identified by the Oelwein Police Department’s Certified Clandestine Lab Officers as Methamphetamine and the Oelwein Police Department was assisted by the Oelwein Fire Department and the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office.
Oelwein officers performed a traffic stop in the 400 block of 1st Avenue NW in Oelwein at 5:20 a.m. on August 20, 2013. Officers cited and released Dustin Lee Westpfahl, age 31 of Oelwein for Driving While License Suspended.
