Oelwein Police are investigating a theft complaint in the 10 blk 2nd Ave SE. Oelwein Police received a theft complaint at 6:11 pm on March 5, 2013. This incident remains under investigation.
On March 5, 2013 at 2:05 p.m., while responding to a disturbance call in the 300 block of 7th Avenue SE in Oelwein, Officers observed a female acting in an intoxicated manner. Officers performed Field Sobriety Tests and subsequently arrested Tammy Marie Rogers, age 31 of Oelwein and charged her with Public Intoxication, a Simple Misdemeanor.
On March 5, 2013 at 1:20 a.m., Oelwein Officers were called to a business in the 10 block of 1st Avenue SE in Oelwein for a reported shoplifter. Upon arrival, officers arrested Jacob David Snay, age 18, of Oelwein, on a charge of 5th Degree Theft, a Simple Misdemeanor.
Effective at 7:00 PM March 4th, 2013: The city of Oelwein has declared a snow emergency. The snow emergency will remain in effect until 7 AM March 6th, 2013. Any vehicles left parked on emergency snow routes will be subject to tow.
On February 28, 2013 at 10:30 p.m., Oelwein Officers arrested Brian Michael Rohrick, age 43, of Oelwein in the 300 block of 8th Street SW, on warrants for Gathering Where Controlled Substances Unlawfully Used, a Class D” Felony and Prohibited Acts, a Class “C: Felony. A search warrant was conducted at the residence and further investigation and charges may be pending.
