On November 18, 2012 at 4:40 a.m., Oelwein Officers responded to the 400 block of East Charles Street in Oelwein for a report of a male causing a disturbance. Officers arrested Justin Lawrence Robinson, age 26, of Oelwein on a charge of Public Intoxication 2nd Offense, a Serious Misdemeanor.
Oelwein Officers encountered a male, known to be a wanted individual, on November 18, 2012 at 11:20 p.m. in the 200 block of 1st Street SE in Oelwein. Officers detained the male and the warrant was confirmed to be valid. Officers checked the arrestee’s possessions and discovered a mobile methamphetamine laboratory on the male’s person. Certified Methamphetamine Laboratory Technicians were called to the scene, and with the assistance of the Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office RAID Task Force, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, and the Oelwein Fire Department, the lab was cleaned up according to Iowa State Safety Standards. Officers arrested Derrick Tyler Wilson, age 22 of Oelwein, on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine, a Serious Misdemeanor; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Simple Misdemeanor; and Consumption of Alcohol in a Public Place, a Simple Misdemeanor, as well as service of a Fayette County Sheriff’s Office warrant for Failure to Appear on original charges of 5th Degree Theft and Interference With Official Acts.
