On 08-10-13 Oelwein Police cited Jason Lee Boutin,  24 of Oelwein, with driving while license suspended.  This is a simple misdemeanor.

During a routine traffic stop on 08-10-13, Oelwein Police arrested William Joseph Wriggle, 46 of Luana.  Wriggle was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Chickasaw County for an original charge of Fraud – insufficient funds check.  Bond was posted and he was later released.

Following a routine traffic stop on 08-10-13, Oelwein Police arrested Samantha Jean Birchard  27 of Independence for operating while intoxicated.  This charge is a serious misdemeanor.

On August 10, 2013 at 1:28 a.m., Oelwein Officers executed a traffic stop in the area 10th St SW and 6th Ave SW in Oelwein. Officers arrested the passengers, Jacob Ray Stepp, age 23, of Oelwein, and Brittany Kay McIntyre, age 20, of Oelwein.  Stepp was arrested on a charge of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia a Simple Misdemeanor and McIntyre was arrested on a charge of Possession of controlled Substance Marijuana a Serious Misdemeanor.

On August 21, 2013 at 3:10 a.m., Oelwein Officers were called to a business in the 700 block of South Frederick for a reported window broken out. After investigating the incident, Officers arrested Jeremy Michael Quario age 30 of Oelwein. Quario has been charged with Burglary in the 3rd Degree, a Class “D” Felony. Further charges in this incident will be pending.

On August 21, 2013 at 3:48 a.m., Oelwein officers arrested Shawn Paul Hansen, age 27, of Oelwein, on charges of Possession of Marijuana, a Serious Misdemeanor; Assault on a Peace Officer, a Serious Misdemeanor; and Interference with Official Acts, a Simple Misdemeanor.

Oelwein Officers were called to the 100 block of South Frederick for a reported disturbance on August 22, 2013 at 1:30 a.m. Officers arrested Derrick Tyler Wilson, 22 years old, of Oelwein on charges of Enhanced Public Intoxication and Interference with Official Acts, both Aggravated Misdemeanors and Disorderly Conduct, A Simple Misdemeanor. The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Oelwein Police Department with this incident.
