Oelwein Police investigated a motor vehicle accident at the corner of 25^th st and Q Avenue at 07:30 am, on April 5, 2017.  A  White 2004 Ford F250 driven by Richard Kleitsch collided with a tan 2001 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Logan Blue.  Blue was cited with Failure to Yield.  The Oelwein Police were assisted by the Oelwein Fire Department.

At 9:46 p.m., on April 4, 2017 Oelwein Police arrested Adam James Nielsen, 32, of Oelwein.  Nielsen was arrested on a Fayette County Warrant on an original Charge of Failure to Appear on an Original Charge of Theft 5^th Degree.  Nielsen was also charged with Interference with Official Acts-Simple Misdemeanor.  This arrest followed an incident in the 700 block 1^st av se.
