On February 13, 2019 at 3:15 p.m. Oelwein Officers were called to the 300 block of 1st Avenue NE for a reported disturbance. Officers arrested Jason Lee Allen Nuehring, age 33 of Oelwein on charges of Domestic Assault, Simple Misdemeanor and Criminal Mischief 4th Degree, Serious Misdemeanor.
On February 6, 2019 at 6:27 p.m., Oelwein Officers performed a traffic stop in the 500 block of HWY 150 North in Oelwein. Officers cited the driver of the vehicle, Maylene Marie Postel, age 36 of Oelwein, on charges of Driving While License Suspended- Simple Misdemeanor
On February 4, 2019 at 1:10 a.m., Oelwein Officers performed a traffic stop in the 100 block of 1st St SE in Oelwien. Officers arrested the driver of the vehicle, Nicholas Charles Olliney, age 32 of Waucoma, on charges of Driving While License Suspended and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, both Simple Misdemeanors.
On February 2nd, 2015 at 02:23 a.m., Oelwein Police arrested Jonathon Eugene Cummings, 24, of Oelwein. Cummings was arrested and charged with OWI- 1st Offense- Serious Misdemeanor. This followed a incident in the 100 block of S Frederick AV.
On January 31, 2019 at 10:57 p.m., Oelwein Police Officers responded to the 10 block 4th ST SW for a reported Burglary. This incident remains under investigation.
On January 30, 2019 at 10:20 a.m., Oelwein Police arrested Matthew Allen Prine, age 22, of Oelwein on a Fayette County Sheriff's Warrant for Probation Violation on original charges of Prohibited Acts-Delivery, Conspiracy, or Possession of Controlled Substances.
On January 27, 2019 at 01:40 a.m., Oelwein Police Officers responded to the 200 block 5th AV SE for a reported Criminal Mischief. This incident remains under investigation.
On January 21, 2019 at 3:25 p.m., Oelwein Officers checked on a parking complaint in the 300 block of 5th Street SE in Oelwein. Officers arrested Jeffery Marcellinus Friis, age 55 of Oelwein on a Department of Corrections warrant for Parole Violation with original charges of habitual violator, Possession Controlled Substance, and Eluding.
Oelwein Officers responded to a report of a suspicious odor in the 900 block of South Frederick on January 21, 2019 at 9:20 p.m. Officers arrested Kaleb James Huffman, age 19 of Oelwein on charges of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Simple Misdemeanor and Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Deliver and Failure to Affix Drug Tax Stamp, both Class "D" Felonies.
On January 18, 2019 at 2:22p.m. Oelwein Officers arrested David Lee Allen Nuehring, age 52 of Oelwein for charges on a Arkansas Warrant for Parole Violation on an original charge of Domestic Battering-3rd Degree.
On January 17, 2019 at 11:49 a.m., Oelwein Police Officers responded to the 2600 block South Frederick for a reported Theft. This incident remains under investigation.
