July 18, 2016

 

Oelwein Police are investigating a criminal mischief complaint.  Oelwein Police received a report of criminal mischief at 12:07 a.m., on July 18, 2016 in the 300 block of West Charles St.  This incident remains under investigation.

 

At 12:46 a.m., on July 18, 2016 Oelwein Police Cited Mark Lee Louch Jr, 29, of Oelwein for Driving while License Suspended following traffic stop in the 100 block of W Charles.

At 2:29 p.m., on July 16, 2016 Oelwein Police arrested Steve Alan Euans, 60, of Oelwein.  Euans was arrested on two Bremer County Warrants for Failure to Appear on Charges of Driving while license barred and Interference with Official Acts.  This arrest followed an incident in the 400 block of 13th AV Nw.

 

Oelwein police investigated a Motor vehicle accident in the 100 block of 1st Av nw at 10:32 p.m.,  a red 2004 Ford F250 driven by a juvenile collided with a home in the area.  There were no injuries and the driver was cited with Failure to prove Security against Liability, Failure to have a valid license and Failure to Maintain Control.

July 16, 2016

 

On July 15, 2016 Oelwein Officers issued a citation to Ann Marie Kisner, age 25 for Failure to Abate Per Order for a property in the 200 block of 5th Avenue NE.  This citation resulted from an abatement order previously served to Kisner.

 

On July 15, 2016 at 11:45 p.m., Oelwein Officers attempted to serve a Buchanan County Sheriff’s arrest warrant in the 10 block of 6th Avenue NE in Oelwein.  Officers arrested Riley William Fritz, age 19 of Oelwein.  The warrant was for Failure to Appear on an original charge of Driving While License Suspended.

July 14, 2016

On July 14, 2016 Oelwein Officers issued a citation for Failure to Abate Per Order to Garrett Ross Bickell, age 32, in the 100 block of 5th Avenue NE.  Officers also issued a citation for Failure to Abate Per Order to Donald Eugene Latham, age 59, in the 500 block of 1st Street NE. Both citations stemmed from abatement orders earlier served.

July 13, 2016

 

At 8:20 p.m., Oelwein Police arrested Joshua Freedom Smith, 37, of Oelwein.  Smith was arrested on Charges of Eluding- Aggravated Misdemeanor and Driving while License Suspended- Simple Misdemeanor as well as numerous traffic citations.  This arrest occurred following an incident in the area of 4th av se and 7th St SE.  Oelwein Police were assisted in this arrest by Iowa State Patrol, Fayette County Sheriff’s office, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office and Fairbank Police Department.

 

At 8:41 p.m., Oelwein Police arrested Michael Allan Rickert, 39, of Oelwein.  Rickert was arrested on a charge of Theft 5th Degree-Simple misdemeanor.  This arrest took place following an incident in the 100 block of 2nd St SE.

July 11,2012

On July 12, 2016 at 5:00 a.m., Oelwein Officers responded to a call of a suspicious person in the 10 block of 3rd Av SE.  Officers arrested Wilma Jean Griffin, age 57 of Oelwein on charges of Possession of Marijuana, Serious Misdemeanor and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Simple Misdemeanor.

July 10,2016

On July 10, 2016 at 4:30 p.m., Oelwein Officers cited Gregory Richard Sills, age 43 of Oelwein for allowing a dog to run at large in the 100 block of 13th Avenue SE in Oelwein.

 

 

On July 10, 2016 at 11:45 p.m., Oelwein Officers responded to an incident in the 100 block of 8th Avenue NW in Oelwein.  In the course of this incident, Officers arrested Isiah Dean Heidt, age 18 of Oelwein on a Fayette County Warrant for Assault Causing injury and a Dubuque Police Department WEarrant for Theft 2nd Degree.

July 9,2016

On July 9, 2016 at 7:20 p.m., Oelwein Officers were called to an altercation in the 200 block of 12th Avenue SE in Oelwein.  Officers arrested Jimmy Milton Campbell, age 46 of Oelwein on charges of Assault, a Simple Misdemeanor and Enhanced Public Intoxication, and Aggravated Misdemeanor.

July 9, 2016

At 11:39 p.m., Oelwein Police arrested Kristy Leigh Hall, 21, of Waukon.  Hall was arrested on 2 warrants out of Howard County on Original Charges of Failure to appear for Possession of Controlled Substance and Possession of Paraphernalia.  This arrest followed an incident in the 1100 block of 3rd st SW.

July 8, 2016

Oelwein Police investigated a motor vehicle accident in the 100 block of 2nd ST SE at 8:12p.m., on July 7, 2016.  A Black 2002 Honda Accord driven by David Perry collided with a White 2003 Buick Lesabre driven by Jade Nuehring. Perry was cited with Failure to Provide Security against Liability and Operating a Non-registered Vehicle.  The Oelwein Police were assisted by the Iowa State Patrol.

July 7,2016

On July 6, 2016 at 9:15 p.m., Oelwein Officers responded to an incident in the 300 block of East Charles in Oelwein.  Officers cited and released Christopher Benjamin Morris, age 37 of Oelwein for Driving While License Suspended.
