On October 2, 2021 at 11:30 p.m., Oelwein Officers encountered a suspicious male on the railroad tracks in the 200 block of South Frederick Avenue.  Officers arrested Joshua Keith Woodward, age 30 of Oelwein, for Public Intoxication, 1st Offense.

Oelwein Police investigated a motor vehicle accident at 20th St SE and Hwy 150 S at 10:18 a.m. on September 28th, 2021. A 2003 Chevrolet Sierra driven by Joshua Overly collided with a 2007 Ford Focus driven by Benjamin Driscoll. Initial estimates of damage were $5000 to the vehicle driven by Overly and $15,000 to the vehicle driven by Driscoll. The Oelwein Police were assisted by Mercy Oelwein Ambulance and the Oelwein Fire Department.

At 7:18 p.m. on September 28th, 2021, Oelwein Police arrested James Gerald Gustin, 78, of Oelwein. Gustin was arrested on a charge of Operating Under the Influence - serious misdemeanor. This arrest was made in the 10 block of 10th St SW following a traffic stop. 

At 3:27 p.m. on September 27th, 2021, Oelwein Police arrested Clayton Allen Bushaw, 26, of Oelwein. Bushaw was arrested in the 2400 block of South Frederick Ave on a Fayette county warrant for an original charge of Failure to Appear on Review of Completion of Batterer Education.

At 4:16 p.m. on September 27th, 2021, Oelwein Police arrested Ryan Patrick Nolan-Kringlen, 24, of Oelwein. Nolan-Kringlen was arrested on a charge of Domestic Abuse Assault 3rd - felony. This arrest was made after a citizens report of a domestic disturbance in the 10 block of North Frederick Ave.

At 6:54 p.m. on September 27th, 2021, Oelwein Police arrested Maureen Elizabeth Nolan, 63, of Oelwein. Nolan was arrested on a charge of Public Intoxication - simple misdemeanor. This arrest was made after a citizens report of suspicious activity in the 100 block of 1st Ave SE.

At 4:07 p.m. on September 26th, 2021, Oelwein Police arrested Jammie Allen Aldrich, 34, of Oelwein. Aldrich was arrested on charges of Driving While License Suspended - simple misdemeanor, and Criminal Mischief, 3rd Degree - aggregated misdemeanor. This arrest was made following a citizens report of a criminal mischief in the 400 block of 5th Ave NE.

At 8:28 p.m. on September 26th, 2021, Oelwein Police arrested Zachary Alan Salladay, 34, of Oelwein. Salladay was arrested on a charge of Driving While License Suspended - simple misdemeanor. This arrest was made following a traffic stop in the 100 block of 5th Ave SE.

Oelwein Police are investigating a criminal mischief complaint. Oelwein Police received a report of criminal mischief at 8:04 a.m. on September 24th, 2021, from the 200 block of 13th Ave NE. This incident remains under investigation.

At 1:04 a.m. on September 21st, 2021, Oelwein Police arrested Jordan Ellis Piper, 29, of Fayette. Piper was arrested in the 100 block of 5th Ave SE on Fayette County warrants for original charges of Theft 2nd degree and Probation Violation.

At 1:49 p.m. on September 21st, 2021, Oelwein Police arrested Gregg Eugene Latham, 59, of Oelwein. Latham was arrested, following a traffic stop at 20th St SE and Hwy 150, on charges of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia - simple misdemeanor, Drug Tax Stamp violation - felony, Unlawful Possession of Prescription Drugs - serious misdemeanor, Possession of Controlled Substance 3rd or subsequent - felony, Violation of Restricted License, and Failure to Provide Proof of Financial Liability.

At 3:01 p.m. on September 20th, 2021, Oelwein Police arrested Brenda Dee Steele, 54, of Oelwein. Steele was arrested on charges of Public Intoxication - simple misdemeanor, and Interference with Official Acts - simple misdemeanor. This arrest was made in the 100 block of East Charles after a citizens report of an intoxicated person. 

At 1:53 p.m. on September 16th, 2021, Oelwein Police arrested Anthony Michael Euvino, 40, of Waterloo. Euvino was arrested in the 200 block of 1st Ave SE on a Fayette County warrant for original charges of Criminal Mischief - 2nd Degree, and Going Armed w/ Intent.

At 8:23 p.m. on September 16th, 2021, Oelwein Police arrested Gary Lee Cooper, 67, of Oelwein. Cooper was arrested on a charge of Public Intoxication - simple misdemeanor. This arrest was made after a citizens report of an intoxicated person in the 100 block of South Frederick Ave. 

At 6:19 p.m. on September 15th, 2021, Oelwein Police arrested Skylar Joseph Buhr, 32, of Oelwein. Buhr was arrested in the 1200 block of South Frederick Ave on a Fayette County warrant for an original charge of Failure to Complete IDAP.

Oelwein Police investigated a motor vehicle accident in the 10 block of East Charles at 10:10 a.m. on September 14th, 2021. A 2007 Dodge Charger driven by Abby Green collided with a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Robert Ries. Initial estimates of damage were $5000 to the vehicle driven by Green and $1500 to the vehicle driven by Ries.
