May 6,2022

At 12:04 a.m. on May 6th, 2022, Oelwein Police arrested Austin Paul Bellmer, 26, of Oelwein. Bellmer was arrested in the 300 block of North Frederick Ave on a Buchanan County warrant for failing to appear for sentencing on original charges of Operating While Intoxicated (1st offense), Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Driving on the Wrong Side of the Road, and Failure to Provide Proof of Insurance. 

May 3,2022

At 7:39 p.m. on May 3rd, 2022, Oelwein Police arrested Alexis Troi Rinella, 29, of Oelwein. Rinella was arrested in the 10 block of 6th St SW on a Buchanan County warrant for Violation of Probation - felony.

 

At 8:03 p.m. on May 3rd, 2022, Oelwein Police arrested Kurtis Wayne Shasteen, 38, of Oelwein. Shasteen was arrested in the 300 block of 3rd Ave SE on a Fayette County warrant for Violation of Probation - aggravated misdemeanor. Shasteen was also charged with Possession of Controlled Substance (2nd offense) - aggravated misdemeanor, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia - simple misdemeanor.

 

At 11:14 p.m. on May 3rd, 2022, Oelwein Police arrested Zachary Neal Moser, 32, of Waverly. Moser was arrested on a Clayton County warrant for Failure to Appear - serious misdemeanor, and a Bremer County warrant for Violation of Probation - serious misdemeanor. Moser was also charged with Providing False Identification Information - simple misdemeanor. 

 

 

May 2,2022

At 3:35 a.m. on May 2nd, 2022, Oelwein Police arrested Todd Allen Corley, 35, of Oelwein. Corley was arrested on charges of Domestic Abuse Assault, 1st offense - simple misdemeanor, and Obstruction of Emergency Communications - simple misdemeanor. This arrest was made after a disturbance was reported in the 10 block of 7th Ave SE.

 

At 4:28 p.m. on May 2nd, 2022, Oelwein Police arrested Seth Lee Rohrick, 25, of Independence. Rohrick was arrested in the 10 block of 6th Ave SW on a Buchanan County warrant for Failure to Appear on an original charge of Domestic Abuse Assault, 1st offense - simple misdemeanor. 

May 1,2022

At 2:09 a.m. on May 1st, 2022, Oelwein Police arrested Jonathon Eugene Cummings, 27, of Fayette. Cummings was arrested on a charge of Operating While Under the Influence (2nd Offense) - aggravated misdemeanor. This arrest was made following a traffic stop in the 1900 block of Palace Road.

April 27,2022

On April 27, 2022 at 3:50 p.m., Oelwein Police Officers responded to a reported 2 vehicle accident in the area of the intersection of 1st Street SE and Highway 150 in Oelwein.  Upon investigation of the scene the officer determined that Seth Wayne Brehme, age 17, of Randalia, driving a 2005 Chevy pick up, travelling south bound on highway 150 was signaling a lane change when Isabelle Steinbronn, age 18 of Maynard, driving a 2016 General Motors pick up, stopped at 1st Street SE eastbound left the stop sign before it was safe to do so, striking the passenger side of Brehme's vehicle.  Both vehicles sustained over $10,000 in damages.  No injuries were reported and Isabelle Steinbronn was found to be at fault for this incident.  

April 24,2022

At 4:51 p.m. on April 24th, 2022, Oelwein Police arrested Matthew Wade Stacey, 28, of Oelwein. Stacey was arrested on Fayette County warrants for Violation of Probation - felony, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia - simple misdemeanor, Possession of Controlled Substance, Marijuana and Methamphetamine - serious misdemeanor, and Domestic Abuse Assault Impeding Flow of Air / Blood. In addition to the warrants Stacey was also charged with Possession of Controlled Substance 2nd Offense - aggravated misdemeanor, Possession of Controlled Substance 3rd or Subsequent Offense - aggravated misdemeanor, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia - simple misdemeanor, and Providing False Identification Information - simple misdemeanor. Stacey was also cited for two counts of Bicyclist Failing to Obey Stop Sign. 

April 21,2022

At 10:23 p.m. on April 21st, 2022, Oelwein Police conducted a search at 400 13th Ave NW apartment 35. Shyla Delaney Etgeton, 25, was charged with Possession of Controlled Substance, 1st Offense - serious misdemeanor, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia - simple misdemeanor. This search warrant was done in conjunction with, and the assistance of, the Independence Police Department.

 

At 10:31 p.m. on April 21st, 2022, Oelwein Police arrested Darrick Shawn Eubanks II, 27, of Oelwein. Eubanks was arrested in the 400 block of 13th Ave NW on Fayette County warrants for original charges of Domestic Abuse Assault - felony, Willful Injury - felony, and Domestic Abuse Assault - serious misdemeanor.

 

 

 

 

April 18,2022

At 1:17 p.m. on April 18th, 2022, Oelwein Police arrested Miranda Rose Baillargeon, 37, of Oelwein. Baillargeon was arrested on charges of Burglary 3rd Degree - felony, Theft 4th Degree - serious misdemeanor, Possession of Controlled Substance - felony, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia - simple misdemeanor. This arrest was made following a report of a theft in the 600 block of South Frederick Ave.

April 16,2022

On April 16, 2022 at 6:45 p.m., Oelwein Officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in the 400 block of 5th Avenue SE.  Officers arrested Judas David Leandro, age 37 of Oelwein on charges of Domestic Assault Causing Bodily Injury and Possession of a Controlled Substance, both Serious Misdemeanors.

 

 

April 13,2022

Oelwein Police investigated a motor vehicle accident that occurred in the 100 block of 1st Ave SW at 9:00 p.m. on March 26th, 2022. A Ford pickup driven by Eric Allen Pryor collided with a parked semi truck owned by Hawkeye Haulers. After an investigation, Pryor was cited for Striking an Unattended Vehicle.

 

At 2:21 p.m. on April 13th, 2022, Oelwein Police arrested Brian Lynn Rhines, 40, of Oelwein. Rhines was cited and released on a charge of Driving While License Suspended after a traffic stop in the 600 block of South Frederick Ave.
