On August 28, 2015 at 11:55 p.m., the Oelwein Police Department received two reports of a possible drunk driver in the Oelwein area. Officers did locate the reported vehicle and arrested Craig Allen Kogel, age 58, of Alton, Illinois on charges of OWI 3rd, a Class D Felony and Driving with a Suspended License, a Simple Misdemeanor.
At 3:15 PM on August 25, 2015 Oelwein Police Cited and Released Monique Alexandria Limon, 25, of Oelwein. Limon was cited and released on a Charge of Driving while License Suspended-Simple Misdemeanor. This citation was made following a traffic stop in the 10 block of 2nd Av SW.
At 9:26 pm on August 25, 2015 Oelwein Police arrested Roger Palmer Nichols, 45, of Oelwein. Nichols was arrested on a Fayette County Warrant for an original charge of Prohibited Acts in the 10 block of 1st AV SW.
On August 24, 2015 at 6:00 p.m., Oelwein Officers arrested Benito Alejandro Trevino, age 26, of Oelwein on a Fayette County Sheriff’s Office Warrant for Probation Violation, with original charges of Prohibited Acts-Manufacturing, Delivery, Conspiracy, Or Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine less than 5 Grams.
Oelwein police are investigating a criminal mischief complaint in the 10 block of 2nd Ave SW after receiving a report at 1:24PM on August 23rd, 2015. This incident remains under investigation.
On August 23, 2015 at 7:06 p.m., Oelwein police arrested Renita Lynn Wise, 48 years old, of Waterloo. Wise was arrested on a charge of Theft in the 3rd Degree, an aggravated misdemeanor. The arrest was made after a report came in of a shoplifter in the 100 block of South Frederick Ave.
On August 23, 2015 at 1:15 a.m., Oelwein Officers responded to the 2600 block of South Frederick for a reported Domestic Disturbance. Officers arrested Zachary Scott Penning, age 31 of Oelwein for Domestic Abuse Assault 3rd Offense, a Class “D” Felony.
Oelwein Police are investigating criminal mischief complaint. Oelwein Police received a report of criminal mischief in at 2:11 am on august 22, 2015 from the 10 block of East Charles ST. This incident remains under investigation.
On August 16, 2015 at 1:30 a.m., in the 100 block of 3rd Avenue SE, Oelwein Officers arrested Dakota Andrew Veber, age 19 of Oelwein on a Fayette County Warrant, original charges of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
AT 7:56 Pm on August 13, 2015 Oelwein Police cited and released Michael Vargason, 57, of Oelwein. Vargason was cited on a charge of open burn violation. Vargason was cited following an incident in the 500 block of 4th St SW
On August 13, 2015 at 8:42 Pm, Oelwein Police served a citation to Tanya Kapler, 33, of Oelwein, for Failure to Abate Nuisance at 10 block of 3rd St Nw.
Oelwein Police investigated a motor vehicle accident in the 2300 block of South Frederick Avenue at 6:58 AM on August 11, 2015. A black 2001 Ford Taurus driven by Shirley Ann Maillie collided with a black 1998 Chevy 1500 driven by Jesse Robert Mataya. Initial estimates of damages were over 1500 dollar damage to both vehicles. Maillie was cited for improper turn and Mataya was cited for failure to provide proof of insurance.
At 2:53 AM Oelwein Police arrested Tonya Jean Cane, 42, of Oelwein. Cane was arrested on charges of Assault on a Police Officer-Serious Misdemeanor Two Counts and Public Intoxication-Simple Misdemeanor. This arrest was made after an incident in the 100-blk of 7th ST SW.
On August 8, 2015 at 8:25 a.m., Oelwein Officers were called to a male creating a nuisance in the 1000 block of South Frederick. Officers arrested Mario Joseph Pirillo, age 52 of Oelwein on a charge of Public Intoxication 3rd Offense, an Aggravated Misdemeanor.
On August 8, 2015 at 11:30 p.m., Oelwein Officers performed a traffic stop in the 400 block of West Charles. Officers arrested James William Watson, age 43 of Stanley, on a charge of OWI 1st Offense, a Serious Misdemeanor.
