AT 9:15 PM on June 17, 2015 Oelwein Police arrested Tyler Terren Thompson, 23, of Oelwein. Thompson was arrested on a Fayette County Warrant for Prohibited Acts in the 100 block of South Frederick.

Correction: It was posted the below incidents occurred on May 16th, 2015, but it was June 16th, 2015. They have been corrected.

At 12:28 PM on June 16, 2015 Oelwein police arrested John Joe Dison Jr, 33, of Oelwein, Dison was arrested on Multiple Buchanan County Warrants for original charges of Trespass x2, Criminal Mischief x2 and Theft in the 5th Degree in the 400 block of 6th AV SE

Oelwein Police are investigating a theft complaint. Oelwein Police received a report of theft at 4:04 PM on June 16, 2015. This incident remains under investigation.

June 16,2015

On June 15, 2015 at 10:40 p.m., Oelwein Officers cited Michael Dale Matthews, age 39 of Oelwein, for Failure to Abate Property in the 300 block of 3rd Avenue NW in Oelwein.

On June 16, 2015 at 3:00 a.m., Oelwein Officers performed a traffic stop in the 10 block of 5th Avenue SW in Oelwein. Officers referred Kassandra Lynne McCriston, age 16 of Jesup, to Juvenile Court Authorities on charges of Possession of Marijuana, a Simple Misdemeanor and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a Simple Misdemeanor. McCriston was also cited for No Valid Driver’s License.

June 13,2015

At 11:48 AM on June 12, 2015 Oelwein Police Arrested Derrick Tyler Wilson, 24, of Oelwein. Wilson was arrested on a charge of Theft in the 5th Degree-Simple Misdemeanor and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia-Simple Misdemeanor. This arrest was made following a disturbance was reported in the 1300 block of South Frederick.

On June 12, 2015 at 2:30 PM, Oelwein Police served a citation to Colton Royce Eickoff, 24, Of Oelwein, for Failure to Abate a Nuisance at 605 1st AV NE.

On June 12, 2015 at 2:50 PM, Oelwein Police served a citation to Nikolette Faye Rubendall, 35, Of Oelwein, for Failure to Abate a Nuisance at 124 4th AV NE.

June 12, 2015

Oelwein police investigating a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Hwy 150 South and 1st ST SE at 9:14 AM on June 10th, 2015. A Red 2001 Mercury Villager driven by Nicole Doty collided with a Blue 2000 Honda CRV driven By Bonnie Bettendorf. Initial estimates of damage were $1,500.00 to the vehicle driven by Doty and $800 to the vehicle driven by Westendorf.  Doty was cited for Turning from an Improper Lane.

On June 9, 2015 at 8:31 a.m., Oelwein Officers arrested Michael Joseph Vargason, age 57 of Oelwein on a charge of Violation of a No Contact Order.

On June 9, 2015 at 8:05 p.m., Oelwein police arrested Katie Jane Waters, age 30, of Dunkerton on a Black Hawk County warrant with 2 original charges of theft 3rd and 4th degrees.

June 7, 2015

On June 6, 2015 at 10:20 a.m., Oelwein Officers were called to a domestic disturbance in the 10 block of 2nd St NW. Officers arrested Robert Melvin Elliot Jr, age 35 of Oelwein, on a charge of Domestic Abuse Assault-3rd Offense, a Class “D” Felony.

On July 6, 2015 at 10:15 p.m., Oelwein Officers took a report and investigated a case of harassment in the 300 block of 4th Avenue SE in Oelwein. Officers arrested Jeffery Richard Woods, age 50, of Oelwein on a charge of 1st Degree Harassment, an Aggravated Misdemeanor.

June 4, 2015

At 9:22AM on May 28th, 2015 Oelwein police arrested Joshua James Levendusky, 33, of Oelwein. Levendusky was arrested on a charge of Domestic Abuse Assault, a serious misdemeanor. This arrest was made after a disturbance was reported in the 10 block of 6th Ave SE.

Oelwein police investigated a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of E Charles Street and 3rd Avenue at 6:49PM on June 2nd, 2015. A silver 2005 Buick Lesabre driven by Joan Moormann collided with a purple 1998 Chrysler Sebring driven by Nevin Lammers. Initial estimates of damages were $1500 to the vehicle driven by Moormann and $1800 to the vehicle driven by Lammers.

At 5:55AM on June 3rd, 2015 Oelwein police arrested Tyler Ryan Campbell, 23, of Oelwein. Campbell was arrested on a charge of Domestic Abuse Assault, a simple misdemeanor. This arrest was made after a disturbance was reported in the 100 block of 5th Ave NW.

June 3, 2015

Oelwein Police are investigating a burglary complaint after receiving a report at 9:25AM on June 2nd, 2015 from the 700 block of 2nd Ave SW. This incident remains under investigation.

Oelwein Police are investigating a criminal mischief complaint after receiving the report at 1:52PM on June 2nd, 2015 from the 200 block of 2nd Ave SE. This incident remains under investigation.

June 2, 2015

On June 1, 2015 at 11:00 p.m., Oelwein Officers were called to the 10 block of 1st Avenue NW for a person creating a disturbance. Officers arrested Clyde Wesley Stancil Jr, age 49 of Oelwein, for Public Intoxication, a Simple Misdemeanor.

On June 1, 2015 at 10:50 p.m., Oelwein Officers arrested Michael Steven Gould, age 18 of Oelwein on a Fayette County Warrant with original charges of Disorderly Conduct and Assault Causing Injury.

On June 1, 2015 at 6:15 a.m., Oelwein Officers performed a traffic stop in the 200 block of 9th Street NE in Oelwein. Officers arrested Michael John Hempstead, age 54, of Oelwein on a charge of Driving While License is Revoked, a Serious Misdemeanor.
